Zocalo completes a 5-week platform assessment with Avatria

The customer, Zocalo, a nationwide shoe retailer, faced a challenge following an acquisition that merged two separate brands, each relying on different B2B and B2C eCommerce systems. They engaged Avatria to conduct an assessment to determine the best approach for consolidating and integrating these brands onto a unified commerce platform.

Avatria conducted a comprehensive five-week assessment, evaluating platforms like Demandware and SAP Commerce. Their solution included delivering a requirements matrix, a total cost of ownership model, and a two-year roadmap. As a result of this assessment, Zocalo accepted Avatria's recommendation to use their existing Salesforce Commerce Cloud for B2C and to implement SAP Commerce for B2B. This foundational work ultimately led the client to complete their carve-out, and both platforms were successfully migrated with all brands becoming operational.
