SofTec Solutions transitions to managed security services with Managed Workplace RMM

SofTec Solutions, a managed IT and security provider serving southeastern New Brunswick, needed to shift from break‑fix work to a scalable managed security services model while operating with a small team. To support that transition and improve uptime and protection for customers, SofTec turned to Avast—deploying Avast Business CloudCare (including premium remote control and content filtering) and Avast’s Managed Workplace RMM.

Using Avast Business CloudCare and Managed Workplace, SofTec automated patching and monitoring, gained remote control access to most clients, and added endpoint and network management through RMM. Avast’s CloudCare content filtering cut viruses by about 90%, its premium remote control increased efficiency by roughly 75%, and the company has transitioned 25% of its client base to managed security (with CloudCare on ~85% of clients and Managed Workplace covering about one quarter), enabling faster, more proactive service and new revenue streams.
