GCI chooses Managed Workplace and Antivirus Pro Plus for its £100m ICT business

GCI, a £100m ICT services provider and the largest privately owned MSP in the UK, faced the challenge of scaling its managed services while delivering proactive security and monitoring to a growing customer base. With support from Mayfair Equity Partners, GCI needed a simpler, scalable remote monitoring and management (RMM) and antivirus solution to align services with customers’ evolving business outcomes and generate recurring revenue — and turned to Avast for support.

Avast replaced GCI’s existing tools with Avast Business Managed Workplace (three‑year renewal, 30,000 licenses) and added 10,000 Avast Business Antivirus Pro Plus licenses, with plans to migrate 1,000+ customers to Managed Workplace by year‑end. The Avast deployment gives GCI a single pane for patching, backups, antivirus and device management, enabling proactive monitoring to meet strict SLAs, manage hundreds of customers from one platform, and create cross‑sell opportunities.
