CCA Achieves 100% Improvement in Threat Detection Caused by Human Error Using Avast Business Antivirus

Calvary Christian Academy, a private pre-K–12 school in Chula Vista serving about 400 students and 78 faculty across 150 workstations and nine servers, faced the challenge of keeping its IT environment secure as a one‑person IT department. After evaluating competitors, the school chose Avast and deployed Avast Business Antivirus with its cloud‑based management console to address security issues caused by human error.

Avast implemented a four‑shield defense (behavior, web, email and file scanning) plus a console with dashboard notifications and email summaries to simplify monitoring and remediation. With Avast Business Antivirus, CCA achieved a 100% improvement in threat detection related to human error, saved roughly 10 hours per month through faster alerts and resolution, and put stronger proactive security in place without significantly higher costs.
