VELUX Group, a Danish maker of roof windows and skylights operating in 40+ countries, faced a fragmented online presence made up of Wordpress, SharePoint and Joomla sites plus a standalone mobile app. The company needed to streamline management of 40+ international websites, improve the experience for nearly 15 million annual visitors, give marketing teams the ability to publish local content quickly, and provide better insights to dealers.
Working with Avanade and Accenture, VELUX migrated to the Sitecore Experience Platform hosted on Microsoft Azure and rolled out a unified visual identity, templates and components across all country sites. The platform empowered 220+ marketers to update sites faster, delivered a personalized, device-responsive customer experience (including an instant-pricing product configurator), reduced infrastructure complexity and costs, and set the stage for future ecommerce and CSR site rollouts.
