Tridel, a leading Toronto condominium developer, faced growing complexity from running 400+ separate legal entities on an aging ERP system that couldn’t support cross-company accounting or 30 years of historical data migration. At the same time sales, marketing and customer care relied on spreadsheets and manual processes, leaving no single 360-degree view of customers for a buying cycle that can last up to three years.
Working with Avanade, Tridel implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX (upgrading from AX 2009 to AX 2012) and deployed Microsoft Dynamics CRM, training staff and leveraging a phased delivery methodology. The new systems streamlined finance and reporting, improved project cost and profitability tracking, delivered a single customer view with automated communications and self-service scheduling, boosted sales and marketing effectiveness, and achieved high user adoption—while Tridel plans further AX upgrades to add mobile capabilities.
