Texas Roadhouse, a Louisville-based restaurant chain that grew from 70 locations in 2000 to more than 485 today, faced a critical challenge: a nearly 20-year-old, heavily customized on-premises ERP that could no longer support complex accounting processes, timely reporting or continued growth. The legacy system created silos, high maintenance costs and limited real-time financial visibility, prompting leadership to seek a modern, scalable solution.

Working with Avanade, Texas Roadhouse migrated to Microsoft Dynamics AX on Azure, overhauled its Chart of Accounts and completed an 18-month implementation using Avanade’s RapidResults approach. The cloud ERP delivered scalability, cost savings and better integration, stabilized financial processes within months, freed IT to focus on strategic initiatives, and empowered accounting with clearer, real-time insights—positioning the company to manage tens of thousands of assets and vendors and support future expansion.
