Subsea 7, a world-leading seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services contractor for the offshore energy industry, needed to migrate its SAP enterprise resource system to the public cloud to drive greater efficiencies, reduce costs and provision a more flexible, scalable SAP landscape under challenging market conditions.

Avanade, in partnership with Microsoft and alongside Accenture, implemented SAP Suite for HANA on Microsoft Azure, delivering the cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, monitoring and security. The migration is expected to lower total cost of ownership, increase agility through faster provisioning and scalability for large HANA instances, and provide built-in compliance and security plus improved user interfaces, mobility, speed and integration with other platforms.
