Robeco, a leading Dutch asset manager, set out to modernize ways of working with its "You!" program but was held back by an aging IT estate (Office XP, Lotus Notes, Windows XP) that limited collaboration, productivity and mobile access. The firm needed a secure, regulator‑compliant solution that would reduce costs and support new working patterns.

Partnering with Microsoft, Avanade and HP, Robeco deployed Office 365 to 1,200 of its 1,600 employees across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, consolidating email, intranet and collaboration on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Lync. The move lowered operational and maintenance costs, increased employee satisfaction and productivity, improved mobile and remote access, and strengthened compliance and security controls—freeing IT to focus on business value and making Robeco an early adopter in the financial sector.
