RAI Amsterdam drives engagement with customers through new online communities

RAI Amsterdam, a long-established convention center that runs 14 branded exhibitions (including GreenTech and METSTRADE), faced a key challenge: valuable thought leadership and content created for annual events generated high engagement only during show periods, leaving limited year‑round contact with customers and missed opportunities for insight and loyalty building. The organization wanted a digital way to keep exhibitors, attendees and prospects connected and engaged between events.

Working with Avanade, RAI launched Telligent-based community hubs integrated with its Sitecore site for GreenTech and METSTRADE, offering regularly refreshed content, member sharing and networking tools. The communities delivered continuous, personalized engagement, richer customer insights, a growing prospect list and new revenue opportunities, while enabling RAI to tailor content and future event programs—turning community members into warm leads for sales and marketing.
