Panasonic, a global electronics manufacturer founded in 1918 with about 330,000 employees, was struggling to support rapid growth in the Asia Pacific region—responsible for nearly 80% of its revenue—because its on‑premises Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 could not cope with exploding data volumes and rising hosting costs.
To address this, Panasonic engaged Avanade to upgrade to Dynamics CRM 2013 and migrate CRM, AX and SharePoint to Microsoft Azure, implement Remote Application/Remote Desktop services and provide ongoing managed services. The move delivered up to 46% faster performance, eliminated costly VDI subscriptions, lowered hosting and operating costs, and produced a more stable system that improved employee productivity and customer service.
