Kirby improves employee engagement and safety evolves digital workplace

Kirby Corporation set out to modernize its digital workplace by building a mobile app that gives employees access to company tools and information anywhere, reducing manual processes and physical barriers. With employee safety and engagement core to its values, Kirby partnered with Avanade and Microsoft to create a secure, scalable solution.

Avanade and Kirby developed a Xamarin-based mobile framework on Microsoft Azure and delivered the solution in a 10–12 week engagement. The app provides instant access to safety videos, travel schedules, email and other resources, boosting employee connectedness, engagement and safety while supporting Kirby’s long-term goals.
