HNTB, a leading architecture, engineering and planning firm with nearly 4,000 employees and more than $1 billion in annual revenue, set out to modernize its sales and project-management systems to meet employee technology expectations and enable an integrated project workplan covering scope, schedule, budget and resources. The firm needed enterprise-wide collaboration, shared data access and improved project performance across a fragmented landscape of custom applications.
Partnering with Avanade, HNTB replaced more than 55 bespoke systems with a modern Microsoft-based platform using Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM and collaboration tools to automate the project lifecycle — from sales and contracting to project management and billing. The new digital workplace connected core business processes, improved data quality and employee productivity, and strengthened the firm’s ability to support client relationships and deliver results.
