FMC Technologies leverages the cloud to drive workplace efficiencies

FMC Technologies (now part of TechnipFMC) aimed to standardize on a Microsoft cloud platform to streamline global operations and improve workforce efficiency. The company faced a large-scale migration challenge: moving 17,000 users, 30,000 mailboxes and 12,000 desktops from legacy systems to a modern digital workplace.

Avanade managed the end-to-end migration, deploying Microsoft Office 365 on Azure and upgrading desktops to Office 2016 using automated tools (PowerShell, SCCM, Click-to-Run and an Accelerate IP tool) and global delivery resources. The project was completed in under six months, on time and within budget, delivering greater standardization, flexibility and a successful global rollout.
