Europ Assistance Belgium, a 240‑person office of the global assistance group, faced capacity limits, high maintenance and cooling costs, and security risks from running 120 on‑premises servers under a decentralized IT model. With limited in‑house Azure expertise, the company needed a future‑ready, cost‑effective alternative to replacing local datacenter infrastructure.

Partnering with Avanade, Europ Assistance completed an Application Roadmap to Cloud assessment and migrated core infrastructure to Microsoft Azure using Azure Site Recovery, followed by managed services for ongoing operations. The move delivered scalability, stronger security, lower operational overhead and improved forecasting, while enabling employee telecommuting and freeing IT to focus on innovation and further digitization.
