Nykredit, one of Denmark’s leading financial services groups with 4,400 employees across roughly 100 decentralized locations, faced an aging intranet, email and collaboration infrastructure that could not support new ways of working such as blogs, wikis, team sites or an organization-wide communications strategy tied to a corporate reorganization. Needing a feature-rich, integrated platform to improve collaboration and reduce friction, Nykredit engaged Avanade to lead the transformation.
Avanade recommended and deployed a Microsoft-based solution (SharePoint, Office Communications Server and Exchange) aligned to Nykredit’s new corporate structure, using a local team supported from the UK and delivering ahead of schedule. The result was faster, easier collaboration across sites, in-house blogs/wikis and personalized news channels, greater consistency and usability (reducing training), and a simplified upgrade and migration path that supported the company’s reorganization.
