CPFL increases operational efficiency and process reliability through automation

Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz (CPFL), a leading Brazilian energy distributor, launched a pilot to boost productivity and reduce costs by automating business processes. CPFL engaged Avanade and Accenture to test an automation solution across eight processes spanning financial, commercial and distributed-generation areas, including partner back-office operations.

Avanade ran stakeholder workshops to prioritize and implement automation for tasks such as terminating payment tickets, creating orders, refurbishing microgenerators, refilling white tariffs, closing invoices and updating registers. The pilot improved operational efficiency and process reliability, and CPFL is now establishing automation governance to sustain and scale the results.
