Casana Furniture - Customer Case Study

Casana Furniture, founded in 2006 from Palliser’s Casegood Import Division, is a small, design-focused importer with about 40 employees across offices in Winnipeg, Vietnam and Indonesia. After inheriting legacy MAPICS systems and relying on scattered spreadsheets, the company needed a centralized ERP to streamline financial, distribution and customer-relationship processes, eliminate duplicated data and better support its importer business model.

Working with Avanade, Casana implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX in a four-month rollout and adopted the out-of-the-box solution with minimal customization. The result was a single source of truth for inventory, purchasing, orders and finances, improved handling of currency exchange, real-time access across locations, reduced administrative costs, faster customer updates and low ongoing support (under 200 hours in the first 18 months and averaging <25 hours/year thereafter), with scalability for future growth.
