Bravis hospital was formed in 2015 by the merger of Lievensberg and Franciscus hospitals and faced fragmented, outdated systems that hindered finance, procurement and logistics across both sites. To standardize processes and support the merger, Bravis selected Avanade’s AX4Health—an industry-specific Microsoft Dynamics AX template—based on requirements for best-practice, low-maintenance ERP functionality.
AX4Health was implemented across both hospitals (with a final data merge at the merger), centralizing procurement, linking procurement/logistics/finance and introducing automated replenishment, scanning and invoice processing. The result was stronger cross‑department cooperation, fewer duplicate entries, lower inventory and waste, better purchasing power and measurable cost savings, with plans to expand the system into additional logistics and operational modules.
