Avanade supports insurance group Europ Assistance in the migration to SharePoint 2013
Europ Assistance, a global leader in private insurance services, needed to modernize and streamline its customer-facing platform by migrating its institutional website to Microsoft SharePoint 2013. The goals were to consolidate and improve the existing CMS, preserve e-commerce functionality, and deliver a responsive mobile experience for smartphones and tablets, so the company engaged a specialist partner to manage the migration and implementation.
Avanade led the migration to SharePoint 2013, using Device Channel, the App Integration Model and Cross-Site Publishing to enable a portable mobile site and maintain e-commerce capabilities. The renewed site went live in February, delivering a more rationalized platform, better integration with existing technologies, greater content-management independence and faster updates—completed on schedule through close collaboration between the two teams.
