Avanade collaboration solution binds Fujitsu

Fujitsu, a global ICT leader operating in 151 countries, wanted to realize its “one company” vision by breaking down silos and pooling intellectual capital across its worldwide operations. The challenge was to embed a collaborative culture and integrate an enterprise social application into its existing global communications infrastructure to improve information and knowledge sharing and drive better business performance.

Avanade implemented Sitrion Social Site integrated with SharePoint, launching a November 2013 pilot for 50,000 users that has grown to more than 500 active communities and supports multi‑device, personalized “My Page” access. The platform boosted cross‑functional collaboration, proposal quality, project execution and communication frequency, strengthened employee solidarity, and is planned to expand to nearly 170,000 users in 2015.
