ICONIC London, a cruelty-free beauty brand, expanded into U.S. ecommerce and quickly faced the challenge of managing sales tax compliance across 28 states. With a small finance team, the company needed a simple way to handle tax calculations and filings while using Shopify.

Avalara provided the solution with AvaTax integrated into ICONIC London’s Shopify store and Avalara Returns for monthly filings. Avalara also helped set up state registrations and automate submissions, making compliance far easier and enabling ICONIC London’s U.S. direct-to-consumer growth; the company said manual management would have been “impossible.”
