Ag Solutions Group, a Minnesota-based dealer of agricultural equipment, faced growing sales tax compliance challenges after launching its online store in 2019. The shift to ecommerce expanded its tax obligations across more states under economic nexus rules, making manual filing increasingly complex. Ag Solutions Group chose Avalara, working with its BigCommerce storefront and CDK IntelliDealer system.

Avalara implemented sales tax automation that integrated with both BigCommerce and CDK IntelliDealer, allowing tax calculations and transaction data to flow directly from online and physical sales systems. The result was a much simpler, more accurate process for charging customers and managing filings across multiple states, reducing the compliance burden created by Ag Solutions Group’s expanded sales footprint.
