LAN3, a UK-based systems integrator and hardware reseller founded in 2008, decided to shift from being a “hardware supplier that sells services” to a fully fledged managed services provider. With a 25-person service centre and 24/7 SLA obligations, the company needed a cloud-hosted remote monitoring and management solution for network visibility and proactive alerts — after evaluating several RMMs LAN3 chose Auvik.
LAN3 deployed Auvik for network discovery/topology, real-time monitoring, and as a proof-of-concept tool for prospects, rolling out its new managed service in mid‑2015. Auvik’s topology maps exposed undocumented devices, its alerts sped troubleshooting and improved contract reviews, and the platform helped LAN3 win new customers and upgrades — leaving LAN3 “growing [its] managed service ahead of schedule.”
