ELWEMA Automotive GmbH, a German automotive machinery specialist, needed a better way to manage the many program and data versions used across its engineering and plant projects. Before working with AUVESY-MDT, file structures were inconsistent, versioning was unclear, and employees spent unnecessary time searching for the right files and asking for updates.

AUVESY-MDT implemented its vendor-independent version control software to centralize data storage, manage permissions, document changes, and track PLC, HMI, robot, and configuration data across the full lifecycle of each plant. After a three-month test phase and rollout, ELWEMA reported clearer transparency, faster access to current software states, better traceability, and less effort in daily project work, with about 35 users trained on the system and noticeable time and cost savings.
