Egger, a wood materials manufacturer in Hexham, UK, needed a reliable way to back up, version control, and manage the automation programs and controller data that keep its highly automated production lines running. The company standardized on AUVESY-MDT’s version control software to help protect PLC, SCADA, inverter drive, and engineering files from loss and to support day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting.

AUVESY-MDT implemented a system that automatically captured changes, managed check-in/check-out workflows, stored multiple versions, and provided backup and restore capabilities for devices and related files such as EPLAN drawings, Office documents, and PDFs.
