Siemens Mobility Increases Both Capacity and Throughput by 30% with AutoStore

The customer, Siemens Mobility, faced a challenge when their existing automated warehouse system was becoming obsolete, threatening the reliability of storing sensitive electronic components. They needed a solution to maximize storage density within their existing facility, accommodate high production volumes, and simplify their complex logistics processes. They turned to the vendor, AutoStore, for an automated storage and retrieval system.

AutoStore implemented a high-density Grid system with 16 Red Line Robots and 31,700 Bins served by 7 workstations. This solution from AutoStore provided 99.6% system uptime with no single point of failure and included ESD protection for the sensitive components. The results were a 30% increase in both storage capacity and throughput, with the system capable of 300 container deliveries per hour.
