A AutoStore Case Study
AGRAVIS Raiffeisen, a large German agricultural trade and service company, was facing significant logistical challenges with its outdated manual picking system. Their previous method, which relied on employees manually retrieving items from shelves and transporting them by cart, was becoming economically unviable and struggled to meet increasing customer demands, leading to time-consuming processes and errors. They sought a new, scalable solution, ultimately choosing the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system implemented by AM Logistic Solutions.
The solution from AutoStore was a high-density grid system featuring 10 robots and 24,150 bins, installed over 650 square meters. This system dramatically increased operational efficiency and accuracy. The implementation resulted in a 200% increase in picking speed, allowing four workstations to process around 80 orders per hour. Furthermore, AutoStore provided a scalable, future-proof infrastructure that significantly reduced picking errors and created a more ergonomic workplace for employees.
