A AutoStore Case Study

Preview of the Beekman B.V. Case Study

For Beekman, picking capacity doubled thanks to warehouse automation

Beekman B.V., a Dutch supplier of domestic appliance components, faced a significant challenge due to its rapid growth. The company had to choose between moving to a larger, more expensive warehouse or finding a way to double the picking capacity within its existing facility. They partnered with AutoStore, implementing its automated warehouse system through Lalesse Logistic Solutions to solve this space and efficiency constraint.

The solution from AutoStore consisted of a grid system serviced by 41 robots and containing over 17,000 bins. This automation allowed the company to double its productivity, processing 1,000 packages a day and enabling customers to place orders later while still receiving next-day delivery. The system also improved the work environment and reduced reliance on hard-to-find late-shift staff. As a result, Beekman B.V. achieved its goal of doubling capacity without moving and is now prepared for future growth.
