eXXpozed Achieves 87% Reduction in Warehouse Footprint with AutoStore

eXXpozed, a high-quality outdoor and extreme sports equipment retailer, faced significant scalability challenges as it expanded its product range and international presence. Their manual, labor-intensive warehousing processes were inefficient and lacked the adaptability needed for rapid growth, particularly for handling various order types like e-commerce and in-store pickup. To overcome this, they partnered with AutoStore, empowered by their integration partner Element Logic.

The solution implemented was an AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system. This system, consisting of 12 robots moving on a grid to access over 10,000 bins, was installed in a compact 450 m² space directly beneath their retail store. The results were dramatic: AutoStore helped eXXpozed achieve an 87% reduction in required warehouse space compared to a traditional manual setup. The system also boosted operational efficiency, increasing picking speeds to 370 picks per hour and creating a unique retail experience by allowing customers to view the robots at work.
