Benetton Automates Warehouse with AutoStore Triples Storage, Doubles Efficiency

Benetton, a major fashion retailer, faced the challenge of meeting growing e-commerce demand with its traditional warehouse operations. The company needed to dramatically boost picking times, streamline logistics, and make its operations more efficient and flexible to satisfy customer expectations for speed and accuracy.

To solve this, Benetton implemented the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system. This solution, integrated by partner Dematic, consisted of 53 robots and 60,000 bins. The results were transformative: AutoStore tripled storage density within the existing space and doubled overall operational efficiency. The system also processes 15,000 order lines per day, halves goods handling, and allows orders placed an hour before cut-off to still ship the same day.
