AutoStore Expands Operations in LT Apparel Group’s Distribution Center

LT Apparel Group, a family-owned children's clothing manufacturer, faced operational challenges in meeting its aggressive growth goals. The company needed to increase storage capacity and order throughput within its existing facility to process 150,000 units daily during peak season and bring outsourced logistics in-house. To achieve this, they turned to vendor AutoStore to expand their automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS).

The solution from AutoStore involved a significant expansion of their existing system, integrating 36 robots and over 38,000 bins with a complementary tSort system. This provided LT Apparel with increased storage capacity in a smaller footprint and more flexible storage. The implementation resulted in faster order fulfillment, increased order throughput to meet peak demand, and the capacity to bring previously outsourced logistics in-house, resulting in significant time and cost savings. AutoStore provided the foundation for the company's sustainable long-term growth.
