Meat&Doria, an automotive parts supplier in Italy, faced significant logistical challenges, including slow manual order picking, high operational costs, and a lack of scalable storage capacity to manage its growing inventory. These inefficiencies, common in the industry, were straining their ability to meet increasing and urgent customer demands.

To overcome this, Meat&Doria implemented the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system, powered by Swisslog. The solution utilized 25 robots to access over 16,000 bins, enabling a goods-to-person picking process. This resulted in a 190% increase in picking speed, from 40 to 130 lines per hour per station, allowing them to efficiently handle 5,000 order lines daily while achieving significant space savings.
