Antalis AG, a leading Swiss distributor of communications media and office supplies, needed to automate its 40,000-square-meter warehouse to better utilize space, allow for future expansion, and avoid interrupting ongoing operations. The company chose to implement the AutoStore warehouse automation system, with support from partner Swisslog, to meet these challenges.

The AutoStore solution, which uses a grid of 18,000 bins serviced by 10 robots, was installed over three weeks without halting warehouse operations. This system dramatically increased picking efficiency by a factor of five and minimized errors while reducing product losses and the number of forklifts needed. AutoStore provided the scalable, space-saving solution Antalis required, enabling future expansion to meet growing logistics demands.
