Case Study: Seedsheet achieves 250% annual growth with Autopilot SMS marketing

A Autopilot Case Study

Preview of the Seedsheet Case Study

How Seedsheet used the power of SMS marketing to reach an annual growth rate of 250%

Seedsheet makes dissolvable home-gardening pods that let anyone grow herbs, salads and vegetables easily — a product born from founder Cam Mackugler’s “laundry pod” approach to horticulture and boosted by exposure on Shark Tank. The company faced the challenge of scaling customer onboarding and engagement so customers would successfully grow their gardens (and return to buy more) without a large manual support effort.

Seedsheet solved this by building an automated SMS program with the Autopilot–Twilio integration that uses playful, plant-voiced messages, timed triggers, segmentation and conditional logic to deliver the right tips, videos and reminders at each stage of a garden’s lifecycle. The result: strong customer engagement and praise, a reorder rate above 25%, and part of the company’s rapid growth — $1.5M in sales, a projected 200,000 kits in 2019 and a reported 250% compound annual growth rate.
