Case Study: Publicar increases availability to 99.9% and saves $1.5M annually with Automic

A Automic Case Study

Preview of the Publicar Case Study

Automic manages Publicar cloud migration while eradicating needless manual processing

Publicar is a Colombian multinational marketing and publishing company with about 1,300 employees that produces printed guides and digital media for clients across Colombia, Ecuador and Central America. Rapid growth, new websites and reliance on homegrown tools and an expensive on‑premises datacenter left core processes manual, error‑prone and hard to scale, creating delays, outages and rising administrative overhead.

Publicar migrated servers to AWS and implemented Automic to centralize, automate and monitor workflows across legacy systems (HP‑UX, Informix) and SAP. The automation increased availability from 99.5% to 99.9% (cutting annual downtime from ~2 days to ~9 hours), sped up error resolution, reduced human error, freed specialist teams for process improvement, and delivered about $1.5 million in annual savings.
