Largest Bank, a major Indian bank, faced 2,000–3,000 monthly account-closure requests that required 24 FTEs to handle ~150–200 requests per day, with manual processing taking 10–15 minutes per request and exposing the operation to errors, exception handling gaps and a need for reliable MIS. To solve this, AutomationEdge was engaged to apply its AutomationEdge Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to the account closure process.
AutomationEdge built RPA bots that automate the full account-closure workflow—including exception handling, ticket updates, MIS reporting and exception logging—reducing processing time to about 5 minutes per request, eliminating the need for FTEs on the task and enabling continuous execution. The AutomationEdge solution delivered measurable impact: ~70% improvement in TAT, 80% productivity improvement, 95% accuracy and 95% improved data maintenance.
