Axis Bank, the third-largest private bank in India, faced high-volume, manual back-office workloads—most notably ECS/ACH inward debit processing (about 60 files/day with large transaction counts), NFS reconciliation, employee background checks, and gratuity settlements—that led to long turnarounds, heavy FTE load and multiple validations. AutomationEdge deployed RPA bots to automate file downloads, format conversions, portal uploads/authorizations, reconciliations, background-check matching and gratuity calculations, enabling 24x7 error-free processing and scheduled unattended runs. The implementation cut turnaround times (ECS/ACH from 20 to 8 minutes, NFS reconciliation from 3.5 to 1 hour, gratuity from 2 to 1 hour), improved background verification by 30%, processed 50 requests/day via bots, and delivered FTE savings (2 FTEs in reconciliation and 1 FTE each in background verification and gratuity).
