A Automation Anywhere Case Study
TriNet, a professional employer organization providing HR, payroll, benefits and compliance services to small and medium businesses, faced its largest organizational shift when it moved from a business-ownership to an engineering-ownership model and adopted an Agile, software-factory approach. To stay lean and maintain agility during this full-scale transformation, leadership prioritized automation as the engine to meet core metrics and reduce manual, repetitive work across the company.
TriNet built a centralized automation team to set bot standards, runbooks and best practices, added product and Scrum roles for agility, and trained four citizen developers to scale efforts. Over four years they automated 120+ processes across payroll, HR, engineering and finance (with 30 use-cases in the pipeline), preserving workforce skills, boosting productivity and enabling the company to remain agile throughout the transformation.
