RPA helps Volkswagen IT Services India boost employee morale and customer satisfaction

Volkswagen IT Services India (VW ITS) is the Volkswagen Group’s internal IT arm based in Pune, with about 500 IT employees. Working across global projects, teams faced repetitive, error-prone tasks—especially multi-platform data entry and month-end reporting—which hurt accuracy, compliance and employee morale while limiting time for higher-value work.

Starting in 2017 VW ITS launched an RPA program and partnered with Automation Anywhere to deploy Digital Workers that automate reminders, data gathering and report processing. Today 80+ bots automate more than 80 processes (with 100+ bots in the pipeline), delivering faster processing, fewer errors, better response times and improved customer feedback while freeing staff to focus on higher-value tasks.
