Taikang Pension, a Taikang Insurance Group business with 34 branches across China, faced fierce competition and inefficient, vendor-built IT systems that required heavy manual intervention. To improve customer experience and connect front-, middle- and back-end systems, the company needed to integrate workflows and information flow and reduce repetitive, time-consuming tasks.
Taikang implemented Automation Anywhere Enterprise v11 and stood up an RPA center of excellence, prioritizing repetitive processes across sales, underwriting, claims, HR, finance, IT and operations. The program automated 295 processes, delivered a 20x increase in efficiency, saved 45,000 hours annually (including fully automating warranty-document printing), and rolled out automation across 43 business units—improving response times, enabling customer self-service, and reducing the need for live support.
