One of Canada’s three largest telecommunications companies, serving consumers and businesses nationwide, launched an RPA program in 2017 focused on accounting within finance. As automation delivered clear benefits, demand grew from other teams and the company faced the challenge of scaling RPA beyond a single department to meet requests company‑wide while maintaining control and integration with core systems.

The company expanded RPA across finance, integrating bots with SAP, Treasura, CSG Vantage and Leasenet and building a CoE that now supports 700 finance employees. Today 62 bots run in production across 16 teams, automating payroll reports, payment clearing, journal entries, lease payments, roaming reconciliations and more—saving CAD 637,000 and about 7,000 hours annually while improving accuracy, controls and operational consistency.
