NSG Saves More than 13,000 Hours Annually with RPA

NSG, a global glass and glazing manufacturer with 27,000 employees and a 320-person Global Business Services center in Poland, faced growing volumes of repetitive work but limited capacity to add headcount. To free staff for higher-value tasks and improve efficiency, the company turned to robotic process automation (RPA).

Partnering with Automation Anywhere, NSG automated high-volume processes—IT account creation, ARIBA report printing, freight invoicing, leavers processing and master-data tasks—cutting processing times from minutes to seconds and dramatically reducing manual effort. The program has saved 13,200 hours to date (about 75% of its annual savings target toward an 18,000-hour goal), with examples including 720 hours from ARIBA reporting, 1,500 hours from account provisioning and 2,000+ hours from freight invoice processing, while also reducing reinstatement calls by 70–80%.
