NSG Group, one of the world's largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products, faced challenges with manual, high-volume tasks across its IT, finance, and HR departments. These repetitive processes were time-consuming and created a significant workload for employees. To address this, NSG Group partnered with vendor Automation Anywhere to explore robotic process automation (RPA).

Automation Anywhere implemented RPA bots to automate processes such as creating SAP accounts, printing ARIBA reports, and processing new user accounts. This solution dramatically reduced processing times; for example, a task that took an hour manually was cut to 15 minutes. The program saved 13,200 hours annually, with a target of 18,000 hours for 2020. The success of Automation Anywhere's implementation convinced initially skeptical employees and spurred a wider global automation program within the company.
