Genworth Financial, a 145‑year‑old insurance company offering long‑term care and mortgage insurance, wanted to eliminate labor‑intensive manual processes—starting in finance—to boost productivity, reduce errors, speed up processing and lower costs. Achieving those goals required a new approach to automation beyond traditional tools and ways of working.

Genworth ran a 6‑week RPA pilot with hands‑on bot training, deploying 10 initial processes across finance, shared services, corporate systems and tax, then expanded into investments, audit, data security and customer service. The program now has 110 bots live, about 40 trained users, and saves roughly 10,000 hours annually, with strong internal demand, non‑IT employees building and maintaining bots, and continued rapid growth.
