Automation Anywhere helped Eastman, a global specialty materials company, to address the inefficiency of its purchase order processing. Prior to automation, hundreds of customer service representatives worldwide had to manually enter data from emailed PDF orders into SAP, a time-consuming and error-prone task.

The solution involved implementing Automation Anywhere's Document Automation for a pilot program. Two bots were created: one to retrieve order details from forwarded emails and PDFs, and another to translate and enter that data into SAP via Excel. This achieved 100% accuracy and is projected to save 4,242 hours annually. Eastman is now rolling out the solution to its plants worldwide.
