Shinhan Bank Saves 1.2M Hours Annually with Employee Digital Assistants

Shinhan Bank began its automation journey in 2017 to reduce back-office inefficiencies, but it wanted to scale automation beyond IT and make it available to every employee. Working with Automation Anywhere and SK Inc., the bank launched the “My Bot” initiative to deploy employee digital assistants across complex workflows such as compliance monitoring, property loan processing, and marketing analytics.

Automation Anywhere helped Shinhan Bank build one of the world’s largest automation deployments, with 15,000 personal digital assistants for more than 14,000 employees. The results include more than 1.2 million hours saved annually and over 100,000 loan reviews automated, improving accuracy, agility, and employee satisfaction across the bank.
