EDS Tests Enterprise Health Performance with AppLoader

EDS, an HP company, was selected to replace North Carolina’s mainframe public health system with a statewide Netsmart Avatar solution serving 120 local agencies and roughly 3,000 users. Faced with strict state performance benchmarks and a preferred load tester that required time‑consuming wrappers to work with Avatar, EDS turned to Automai and its AppLoader load‑testing solution to meet tight schedules and validation requirements.

Automai’s AppLoader simulated real end users without wrappers or plug‑ins, measuring per‑transaction response times, failures, server/process metrics and capturing failed‑transaction evidence to help isolate application vs. network issues. The tool gave EDS the proof of performance needed to enter pilot and proceed with phased rollouts, reduced development complexity by eliminating wrapper work, and helped the project reach a “Go” decision to move the system into production.
