Workshop/APD - Customer Case Study

Workshop/APD, a New York-based design firm, needed a way to create highly detailed, context-sensitive architectural designs for Post House, an 11-story condominium in Brooklyn. Using Autodesk’s AEC Collection, including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3ds Max, the team focused on developing façade studies, window configurations, and other design details that would reflect the building’s Art Deco-inspired history while fitting into the neighborhood.

Autodesk helped Workshop/APD streamline design exploration and documentation by using AutoCAD for precision detailing and dynamic blocks, Revit for modeling and coordination, and 3ds Max for photorealistic visualization. The result was a more efficient workflow, standardized façade panels for easier manufacturing, and a distinctive building design with varied window experiences, a unique gray-brick exterior, and an Art Deco crown that helped differentiate the project and support client decision-making.
