Windover Construction Reduces Quantity Takeoff Time by More Than 50% with Autodesk Takeoff

Windover Construction, a Beverly, MA–based general contractor, needed to streamline its preconstruction estimating by connecting BIM data in Autodesk Revit to a cloud-based quantification tool. To eliminate the inefficiencies and data gaps of traditional 2D takeoffs and improve early collaboration between VDC and estimating teams, Windover adopted Autodesk Takeoff within Autodesk Construction Cloud™.

Using Autodesk Takeoff, Windover created a single data environment that supports both 2D and 3D takeoffs, links enriched Revit models to estimators, and integrates laser-scan data for accurate existing-conditions modeling. The Autodesk solution automated quantity takeoffs—saving up to 30% estimating time on a recent project—and by embedding BIM data into Autodesk Takeoff Windover reduced quantity takeoff time by more than 50%, improved accuracy, eliminated data silos, and enabled faster, more collaborative estimating.
